Enrollment Procedures

Residency

Drake School accepts students who live within its attendance boundaries. Parents or legal guardians must establish their residency within the attendance area.

Two pieces of identification, which include their name and current address, are required to establish residency. Some of the items of documentation which can be used include: a drivers license, a State of Illinois identification card, a current voter registration card, and current utility bills. Students may not, for the sole purpose of enrolling in a particular school, live with adults who are not their parents or legal guardians.

Parents or legal guardians of students who live outside of Drake School’s attendance area must submit application forms for available open spaces. A test does not have to be taken to enroll in Drake School. There is no guarantee that your child will be accepted. Most openings are at the entry level grades of kindergarten or first grade.
